Polacy i Niemcy po II wojnie światowej Materiały pomocnicze do nauki historii i wiedzy o świecie współczesnym
(Poles and Germans after World War II History and Modern World Workbooks)
Poznań 2001
cena: nakład wyczerpany

The Polish-German dialogue that started after 1989, comprising the most important fields of social life, revealed an enormous deficit of information on the modern history of both countries and nations by the young generation of Germans and Poles. Practically, textbook information ends with 1945. Teachers of history and modern world education usually discuss the establishment of the Federal Republic of Germany and the German Democratic Republic and the unification of Germany in 1990. The authors of the workbooks - eminent specialists, experienced researchers from Poland and Germany, present the output of Polish and Germany history scholars on the most important aspects of the Polish-German relations after World War II. The workbooks are an indispensable addition to the history textbooks in the final grades of the secondary school. Each workbook deals with a different aspect of the problem (history, political science, sociology), discusses the most important problems, sometimes very controversial and sometimes unknown, of the consequences of the second world war for Germans and Poles, forced resettlements of Poles and Germans, relations between the Polish People's Republic and the Federal Republic of Germany and between the Republic of Poland and unified Germany, relations between the Polish People's Republic and the German Democratic Republic, stereotypes, German minority in Poland, and Polish-non-German cultural heritage. Each workbook contains a number of colour photographs and drawings and a glossary of more difficult words. It will be an attractive supplement to the history textbook, helping to widen the students' knowledge on Poland's western neigbour. Poles and Germans after WW II. History and modern world workbooks.
