A series of special "Institute for Western Affairs' Bulletins" on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Polish-German treaty on good neighborliness and friendly cooperation.

On 17 June 1991, after many months of difficult negotiations and several rounds of meetings of expert teams, Chancellor Helmut Kohl and Prime Minister Jan Krzysztof Bielecki signed in Bonn the so-called great Polish-German treaty. The treaty of "good neighborliness and friendly cooperation" has regulated many issues in the bilateral relations and to till now sets the rules for the Polish-German co-existence. It supported well the construction of foundations of Polish-German "community of interests and values."
